DIGITAL DESIGNS:

What is included with the digital design download?

All of our designs are 300 dpi PNG suitable for printing on a variety of end products, such as shirts, mugs, greeting cards, hats, stationary and more.

How soon will I receive my digital design?

Once payment has cleared, the images will be available for download.  You will NOT receive a physical product. Our designs can be used for personal or commercial use on your own products, but cannot be resold as graphics.  

What are your Terms of Use (TOU)?

By purchasing and downloading our products, you are agreeing to the following Terms of Use:

• You may use our designs for personal or commercial use; we do not have a limitation on the number of times you use our designs (go nuts!)
• Waterslide and Sublimation Transfers do not require a separate license; if you'd like to give credit to Elusive Designs we'd be very thankful but its not necessary.  If you do give credit, let us know the link!
• Digital designs may not be resold or altered in any way at any time.  If you need something changed, please contact us at info@elusivedesigns.com
• Designs cannot be used on print-on-demand websites, redistributed or offered elsewhere for any reason. 

SUBLIMATION TRANSFERS:

What are sublimation prints?

Sublimation is a method of printing that transfers a design into a material or fabric using ink and heat. Sublimation transfers do not print white, so they are best used on white or light-colored surfaces such as ash gray, light pink, etc.

What supplies will I need in order to use sublimation transfers?

For best results, you will need a commercial heat press (we do not recommend using an iron or Easy Press).  Full instructions will be sent with every order!

What types of products can I use for sublimation?

You will need to use end products (called substrates) coated for sublimation (such as mugs, cups, etc) or fabric that is a minimum of 50% polyester blend.  The higher the polyester percentage, the more vibrant the design will be (100% polyester is recommended for best results).  Anything less than a 60% blend will have a vintage or faded look.   Special note: if you are bleaching the fabric under where the design will be placed, you can use any color fabric (it just needs to be light/white for the design to show).

Amazon has a wide variety of sublimation blanks, but you can also google "sublimation blanks" to find other companies who sell them.

I received my sublimation transfer but the colors are very muted.  Is this normal?

Yes, the colors on the transfer will look different than what is shown on the website.  Once you press the transfer onto the substrate, the true colors on the design will be displayed.

WATERSLIDE DECALS:

What are waterslide decals?

Waterslide decals are decals printed on special paper that has to be activated with water in order to be used.  They can be placed on a variety of surfaces, including tumblers, mugs, cups, candles, metal, ceramics and more.  Instructions are included with all orders.

Do I need to seal the waterslides before I use them?

No, our waterslide decals are laser printed and do not require any additional sealing.  Once you receive them, they are ready for use!

What's the difference between clear waterslide and white waterslide?

• Clear waterslide are translucent and should be used for white or light colored backgrounds for best results.
• White waterslide can be used on any colored background, but you will need to trim as close to the design as possible so that the white does not show up around the edges of the design (unless you want it to).  We do not die-cut our decals so you will have to do that yourself (we recommend a nice sharp pair of scissors!)

GENERAL QUESTIONS:

How can I purchase a digital design that's listed in another category?

Only the designs listed in the Digital Downloads category are available for sale, as they were created in-house by us.  We purchase designs from several designers along with licenses to sell their designs.  It is against our licensing agreement to sell their designs as digital downloads, which is why they are not listed for sale as digitals and as transfers/decals only.

Where do you get your images?

Good question - there has been a lot of image theft going on recently, where people are reselling designers images and reselling them (which is against the designers policies).  

About 75% of our images are purchased from other designers; I have licenses from each designer to allow me to resell their designs.  I will NOT sell their digital images, as it goes again their policies and will null-and-void my licensing with them.  

The remainder of our designs are created in-house by Elusive Designs.  So any digital designs that are for sale on this website are the creation of Elusive Designs.
